The medical field is where Misty has always wanted to be. She joined it in 2010, after graduating with an associate’s degree, a Phlebotomist Certificate, and as a Certified Medical Assistant. Misty worked alongside many doctors as a medical assistant for five years.
As she was looking to increase her education and experience level in the medical field, she came across the opportunity to become a Certified Clinical Specialist at HPR Treatment Centers, performing TMS therapy on qualified patients. The fact that TMS therapy is a non-systemic treatment option for patients suffering from MDD grabbed her attention. She chose to work as a Clinical Specialist because it means she’s part of medical history that helps drastically reduce the prescribing of antidepressants over time.
Misty is extremely passionate about her position in the medical field. She has seen many patients benefit from TMS therapy since her start as a Clinical Specialist. Her goal in that role is to educate as many people as possible about TMS therapy and its benefits. Another goal is to assist many patients threw their treatment journeys. Her mission is to not only be there as their treater but to build relationships with patients during their journeys and become a part of their support systems through all 36 treatments and beyond. Misty wants all TMS therapy patients to have the best and most comfortable treatment experiences possible, in hopes that they share their amazing experiences with someone who may need the treatment that once helped them!
As a Clinical Specialist, Misty sits with each patient for the duration of each of their treatments. Physically being there has allowed her to create relationships with patients, which builds a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where patients don’t feel alone. Misty loves helping people and seeing them better themselves. Being able to witness the benefits patients get from TMS therapy has made this the most rewarding career Misty has ever worked in.
To get the most out of TMS therapy, Misty believes patients must utilize the benefits they get from the treatments in their everyday lives; at work, at home, all the time. TMS is a tool to help them create better lifestyles and better habits.
Misty enjoys seeing the earth and what it has to offer. She loves going to the beach, hiking, and sightseeing, and being active: working out, doing ballet with her daughter, playing football with her son. She likes exploring different cultures and their food. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her family.
